Razor blade found in Sonoma Halloween candy

Reynoldsburg Police found a razor blade in a Snickers bar that was collected during trick-or-treat Thursday evening. One of the girls took a bite of a fun sized Snickers and police say she could have been seriously hurt.

They also said police here have not received reports of drugs being given as candy. Stephanie said her grandson had been out with the group earlier that night. "It just puts you on edge".

Police warn parents to check their children's candy.

And while this incident is alarming, Mauger believes it may be isolated. Some signs to look for include: lumps or bulges under the packages, punctures to the wrappers or boxes, candy that isn't in the original wrapper, candy brands that you have never heard of, and candy that has passed its expiration date.

"Everybody thought she was kidding", said the girl's grandmother, Stephanie, who did not want to give her last name.
