Louis Tomlinson makes 'informal deal' to become judge on The X Factor

Throughout the gruelling process 35-year-old Vicki Ann Nash was seated, unseated, seated once more and ultimately unseated. The 28-year-old was un-seated, seated and finally un-seated as she made way for singer Bupsi from Leeds. Despite not ticking all of Simon's boxes, it was enough to get her through and she took a chair from teacher Tonatha Raihan.

Simon's view was quickly changed when the crowd erupted during his rousing rendition of Bob Marley 's 'Turn Your Lights Down Low'.

Simon, 56, said: "I'm going to give you a few advice now Anton".

"Max, I want to apologise". "I think that you did deliver with everything you had considering it's such an ambitious song choice but unfortunately, it didn't have the impact that it should have had on an audience like this", she pointed out.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain earlier today, Simon joked: "I've got the ghost of Louis everywhere at the moment".

The X Factor judge also had a few words for finalist Anton Stephens. Hands up if you've ever felt personally victimised by Simon Cowell?

"I always feel their presence and I genuinely do believe in that, once you get over that initial shock, then you deal with it in a different way". "When you live in a world in which Botox is normal, facial expressions seem unusual".

While fellow Filipino act 4th Power breezed through the Six Chair Challenge of "The X-Factor United Kingdom", Neneth Lyons was not so fortunate.

He started off by apologising to the Overs for having a bit of a strop last week when he found out he'd be mentoring their category this year. However, both groups are through to Judges' Houses.

Next weekend's Judges' Houses sees the return of Mason Noise following Leeds contestant Tom Bleasby's decision to quit.

Tonight's show was intense, but that's pretty much true of any Six-Chair Challenge episode. He will rejoin Nick's boys.

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson flew to the South of France to help Simon Cowell, Mark Ronson aided Nick Grimshaw in Cotswolds, Meghan Trainor was in LA with Rith Ora while Jess Glynn joined Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in Rome.

For the first time in The X Factor history, the final 12 will be announced live.
